Delivery & Unloading

Delivery & Unloading Information

Delivery to your doorstep is not included with this sauna and additional services are required. This particular sauna model will need to be unloaded by a forklift or crane. You can search these services in your local area or we can arrange this for you (additional cost usually around £150).

Flat Pack / DIY Sauna Deliveries

For flat pack saunas, there are three unloading options: by pump-truck, by hand or with a forklift. We highly recommend using a forklift, as it is significantly faster and safer. If you require assistance finding a local forklift hire service, we can help arrange this for an additional fee.

If you choose to unload by hand, we advise there be 2-3 people as each delivery has a 30 minute slot before they must move on.

Assembled Sauna Deliveries

Assembled saunas cannot be unloaded manually. Depending on site access, you can choose from the following unloading options:

Forklift: The most economical method if there’s enough clearance to transport the sauna from the truck to its final location.

HIAB (Truck-Mounted Crane): Ideal for lifting the sauna over nearby fences or walls when access is limited.

Crane: Required when the installation site is far from the road and not accessible by forklift.

If you're unsure which unloading option is best for your site, please contact us—we’re happy to help you find the most suitable solution.

Warranty

At SaunaSupply, we stand behind the quality of our products. That’s why we offer a 2-year warranty on all SaunaSupply saunas. Full warranty details can be found in the product manuals, but the key terms are outlined below:

What the Warranty Covers

All saunas are covered by a 24-month manufacturer’s warranty against defects in materials or workmanship.
If a problem occurs, SaunaSupply will always attempt to repair and/ or replace parts under this warranty first. A refund will be considered only if repair or replacement is not possible within a reasonable time or causes undue inconvenience, in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Conditions and Exclusions

The warranty is void if the sauna is not assembled by a qualified professional.

Different warranty periods may apply to saunas mounted on trailers and products used in commercial settings.

The warranty does not cover natural characteristics of wood, such as:

- Discolouration

- Cracking

- Dimensional changes caused by fluctuating or high humidity.

- Normal wear and tear from regular use is not covered.

- Improper installation, misuse, or user-caused damage are excluded from coverage.

- Weather-related damage, including lightning or storm damage, is not covered.

- Installation errors by the customer will invalidate the warranty.

- Any unauthorised repairs or modifications will void the warranty.

- Incorrect storage or exposure to unsuitable environmental conditions will also void the warranty.

Making a Warranty Claim

To activate warranty support, any faults or defects must be reported within 48 hours of discovery.

Please contact us at info@saunasupply.co.uk for all warranty-related queries or to submit a claim.

Electrical Supply

The electrical supply you need depends on the kW rating of your sauna heater. We strongly recommend speaking with a qualified electrician before starting any installation.

Most home saunas in the UK use a dedicated power supply, similar to what’s used for an electric shower or cooker. Domestic sauna heaters typically run on a single-phase 230V supply.

To work out the electrical current (Amps), use this formula:

Watts ÷ Volts = Amps

Example:
6kW (6000W) ÷ 230V = approximately 26 Amps

Typical Guide for Domestic Sauna Heaters

Heater Power Current Draw Suggested Cable Size (Single-Phase)
2.3 kW10 Amps1.5 mm²
3.0 kW13 Amps2.5 mm²
3.6 kW15 Amps2.5 mm²
4.5 kW19 Amps2.5–4.0 mm²
6.0 kW26 Amps4.0 mm²
8.0 kW35 Amps6.0 mm²
9.0 kW40 Amps6.0 mm² (or larger, depending on distance)

Important Notes

  • Cable size depends on cable length, installation method, and other on-site factors.
  • Always follow the advice of a qualified electrician.
  • All installations must comply with current UK wiring standards (BS 7671).

What is the warranty on each sauna?

The standard warranty is 2 years.

Each brand warranty is different. We recommend visiting the product you intend to purchase and read through the warranty information on that page or reach out to us and we'll send it over. Alternatively, head over to our warranty section to find out more.

How long does delivery take?

We estimate delivery times to be 5-7 working days.

What is the manufacturing time?

Majority of our saunas take 5-7 weeks to be manufactured; however, times may vary depending on the manufacturer and location. We will update you every step of the way.

What are the running costs?

A traditional home sauna usually uses a 3 to 9 kW electric heater and costs around £0.10 to £0.30 per kWh in the UK. This means running costs range from about £0.30 per hour for a 3 kW heater to £0.90 per hour for a 9 kW heater. Preheating typically takes 30 to 45 minutes, which adds to the overall cost depending on how often and how long the sauna is used.

Infrared saunas are highly energy-efficient. On average, running a SaunaSupply sauna costs between £0.08 to £0.40 per hour, depending on the model size, local electricity rates, and how often it's used. For example, a standard 2-person sauna using a 1.5–2.0 kW heater may cost around £2 to £4 per month if used 3–4 times per week. This makes it a very economical option for regular at-home wellness.

Can I return my sauna if I'm not happy?

At SaunaSupply, we offer a 30-day return window. This means you may request a return within 30 days of receiving your item. Please note that certain products are exempt from no-fault returns; any such exceptions will be clearly noted on the respective product pages.

All SaunaSupply saunas are custom-built to order, individually manufactured according to each buyer’s confirmed design, dimensions, and finish.
Because these products are bespoke and cannot be resold, returns or cancellations are not accepted once fabrication has begun, except where a genuine manufacturing defect makes the sauna unusable.
