  • package overview

Harvia Vega is a modern and easy-to-use heater. The stainless steel outer shell of Vega is durable and creates a modern look for your sauna.

The operating switches are placed ergonomically in the upper part, and thanks to the symmetric shape of the heater, the switches can be placed on either side.

The heater can be mounted low on the sauna wall, ensuring that the lower benches also get plenty of steam.

Delivery & Installation

We offer Free UK delivery on all our products. This includes delivery costs as well as customs and import taxes. We estimate delivery times to be 6-8 working days after manufacuring has completed as all saunas are made to order. In stock heaters will take 6-8 working days.

Installation

We advise you to have a qualified electrician install your heater to avoid potential injury and/ or damages.

Returns & Refunds

At SaunaSupply, we offer a 30-day return window. This means you may request a return within 30 days of receiving your item. Please note that certain products are exempt from no-fault returns; any such exceptions will be clearly noted on the respective product pages.

Warranty

At SaunaSupply, we stand behind the quality of our products. That’s why we offer a 2-year warranty on all SaunaSupply saunas. Full warranty details can be found in the product manuals, but the key terms are outlined below:

What the Warranty Covers

All saunas are covered by a 24-month manufacturer’s warranty against defects in materials or workmanship.
If a problem occurs, SaunaSupply will always attempt to repair and/ or replace parts under this warranty first. A refund will be considered only if repair or replacement is not possible within a reasonable time or causes undue inconvenience, in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Conditions and Exclusions

The warranty is void if the sauna is not assembled by a qualified professional.

Different warranty periods may apply to saunas mounted on trailers and products used in commercial settings.

The warranty does not cover natural characteristics of wood, such as:

- Discolouration

- Cracking

- Dimensional changes caused by fluctuating or high humidity.

- Normal wear and tear from regular use is not covered.

- Improper installation, misuse, or user-caused damage are excluded from coverage.

- Weather-related damage, including lightning or storm damage, is not covered.

- Installation errors by the customer will invalidate the warranty.

- Any unauthorised repairs or modifications will void the warranty.

- Incorrect storage or exposure to unsuitable environmental conditions will also void the warranty.

Making a Warranty Claim

To activate warranty support, any faults or defects must be reported within 48 hours of discovery.

Please contact us at info@saunasupply.co.uk for all warranty-related queries or to submit a claim.

Electrical Supply

The electrical supply you need depends on the kW rating of your sauna heater. We strongly recommend speaking with a qualified electrician before starting any installation.

Most home saunas in the UK use a dedicated power supply, similar to what’s used for an electric shower or cooker. Domestic sauna heaters typically run on a single-phase 230V supply.

To work out the electrical current (Amps), use this formula:

Watts ÷ Volts = Amps

Example:
6kW (6000W) ÷ 230V = approximately 26 Amps

Typical Guide for Domestic Sauna Heaters

Heater Power Current Draw Suggested Cable Size (Single-Phase)
2.3 kW10 Amps1.5 mm²
3.0 kW13 Amps2.5 mm²
3.6 kW15 Amps2.5 mm²
4.5 kW19 Amps2.5–4.0 mm²
6.0 kW26 Amps4.0 mm²
8.0 kW35 Amps6.0 mm²
9.0 kW40 Amps6.0 mm² (or larger, depending on distance)

Important Notes

  • Cable size depends on cable length, installation method, and other on-site factors.
  • Always follow the advice of a qualified electrician.
  • All installations must comply with current UK wiring standards (BS 7671).

Q. Can I assemble the sauna myself?

Technically, yes — you can assemble the sauna yourself. However, we strongly recommend having a qualified carpenter or joiner assist you, especially if you don’t have prior experience with woodwork or construction.

The assembly manual is comprehensive and user-friendly for those familiar with building, but without that background, the process can be challenging and time-consuming. Most customers choose professional installation for peace of mind and to ensure the sauna is assembled correctly.

Important: Incorrect assembly or not following the manual may void your warranty. If you’re unsure, we recommend professional installation.

Q. What type of base do I need?

Your sauna base must meet two key requirements:

It must be completely level.

It must support the full weight of the sauna and users.

Most saunas bases must be able to withstand twice the weight og the sauna itself. For example, when laying a base for saunas weighing above 400 kg, plan for an additional 400 kg for occupants — a total of around 1,000 kg+. Suitable base materials include concrete, patio decking, tiles, or asphalt — as long as the surface is flat and stable.

Check out our guide on different sauna bases here and we strongly advise you to hire a professional.

Avoid installing the sauna on a slope or in an area prone to water pooling.

Q. What maintenance is required after assembly?

After assembly, the sauna should be treated both inside and out as soon as possible. This protects the wood and is required to validate your warranty.

Painting the sauna bench is optional but recommended. Use a breathable, oil-based treatment such as Tikkurila Supi Sauna Finish.

If Tikkurila products are unavailable, Osmo Oil is an excellent alternative. Both can be ordered from B&Q.

Q. What are the running costs?

A traditional home sauna usually uses a 3 to 9 kW electric heater and costs around £0.10 to £0.30 per kWh in the UK. This means running costs range from about £0.30 per hour for a 3 kW heater to £0.90 per hour for a 9 kW heater. Preheating typically takes 30 to 45 minutes, which adds to the overall cost depending on how often and how long the sauna is used.

Infrared saunas are highly energy-efficient. On average, running a SaunaSupply sauna costs between £0.08 to £0.40 per hour, depending on the model size, local electricity rates, and how often it's used. For example, a standard 2-person sauna using a 1.5–2.0 kW heater may cost around £2 to £4 per month if used 3–4 times per week. This makes it a very economical option for regular at-home wellness.

Q. What maintenance is required if I buy a pre-assembled sauna?

None. Pre-assembled saunas are fully treated at the factory before shipping.

Q. Can I paint the sauna a different colour?

Yes. You can paint your sauna any colour, as long as you use a breathable wood treatment.

Q. Do I need a three-phase power supply?

No, a three-phase supply is not required.

However, a qualified electrician must connect your heater to your power supply, and an isolator switch is required at minimum.
