Sauna Base

You can either install a base yourself or by a professional following our guide below. A base is required due to the weight of the sauna and avoids your sauna from sinking over time.

Self-assembly instructions will be provided. We highly recommend you hire a professional carpenter and/ or joiner for your flatpack sauna build.

Electrical

Domestic sauna heaters in the UK usually require a dedicated single-phase 230V supply, similar to an electric shower or cooker, and installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician. The current draw depends on the heater’s kW rating and can be estimated using watts ÷ volts = amps (for example, 6 kW ≈ 26 A). Smaller heaters around 2–3.6 kW typically need 10–15 A with 1.5–2.5 mm² cable, while larger units from 4.5–9 kW may draw 19–40 A and require 2.5–6 mm² or heavier cabling depending on the run length.
