Additional Information

Construction

The SCANDIT structure is made from certified Scandinavian spruce C24 with a moisture content of up to 18%, sourced from one of the best growing regions in Sweden. The area’s raw and stable climate results in slower growth, giving the wood denser grain, better structure, greater durability, reduced susceptibility to cracking and warping, and increased resistance to insects. All saunas in the Scandit series feature full insulation with rock wool.

ThermoWood® facade and interior

ThermoWood® is not just an elegant and modern appearance. This velvety natural material is one of the best solutions for gardens and saunas due to its high resistance to external factors such as mold and insects. Increased dimensional stability, absence of resin, and excellent insulation properties allow for use in all climatic conditions, both indoors and outdoors.

Glazing

The use of large windows and glass doors in our sauna creates an impression of a brighter and larger space. All glass elements have been individually designed to create a cohesive whole with the rest of the structure, giving the entire construction a unique, modern appearance. The window frames are made of solid thermally modified pine, while the glazing consists of energy-efficient packages of tempered glass, either Antisol brown or the fully private Intima Black.

RUBEN DESIGN light therapy system

The ancient already knew the importance of light, which is why color therapy is now becoming an important direction in the wellness industry. We surround ourselves with colors every day, and they influence not only our psyche but also our bodies. In the Scandit sauna area, we have implemented the RUBEN DESIGN light therapy system, which consists of professional LED strips and the DreamLight remote control.

Karava wooden panels in the interior

Kallio Groove is the latest developed panel profile from Karava. The panel creates extraordinary visual effects in the sauna and relaxation room. The lighting has been designed to enhance the effect even further. This is an ideal example of the combination of top-notch design and finishing quality. Karava panels are handcrafted in Finland using the highest quality materials.

Heater

The HUUM heater is the perfect choice for modern constructions. Its pure Scandinavian design is a true gem among saunas. Rooted in millennia of tradition and combined with contemporary Nordic design, HUUM heaters provide exceptional experiences in the sauna. A first glance at the HUUM heater tells you that it is something special. It not only boasts an impressive appearance but also the quality of the materials used. They are elegant, durable, and economical. They have been carefully designed to heat up quickly, retain heat longer, and produce more steam. In 2015, the HUUM brand was awarded the RED DOT 21 AWARD.

Controller

The controller for the HUUM heater UKU + APP is a console that combines ease of use and safety with a stylish appearance and convenience. The controller features an overheating protection function for the heater, a child lock, and a door sensor (which automatically turns off the heater when the door is opened). The UKU controller works in conjunction with a mobile app, allowing you to turn on the sauna while you are away from home. This is a very innovative, modern, and comfortable solution.

Delivery & Unloading

Delivery & Unloading Information

Delivery to your doorstep is free. However, please note that unloading and positioning are not included in the price. Our sauna pallets are large—typically weighing around one tonne—and are delivered via flatbed truck. Proper planning is essential for unloading.

Flat Pack / DIY Sauna Deliveries

For flat pack saunas, there are two unloading options: by hand or with a forklift. We highly recommend using a forklift, as it is significantly faster and safer. If you require assistance finding a local forklift hire service, we can help arrange this for an additional fee.

If you opt to unload by hand, we suggest having at least two, ideally three people available to safely and efficiently handle the components.

Assembled Sauna Deliveries

Assembled saunas cannot be unloaded manually. Depending on site access, you can choose from the following unloading options:

Forklift: The most economical method if there’s enough clearance to transport the sauna from the truck to its final location.

HIAB (Truck-Mounted Crane): Ideal for lifting the sauna over nearby fences or walls when access is limited.

Crane: Required when the installation site is far from the road and not accessible by forklift.

If you're unsure which unloading option is best for your site, please contact us—we’re happy to help you find the most suitable solution.

Returns & Refunds

Returns and Refunds Policy for Made-to-Order Saunas
At SaunaSupply, we are committed to delivering premium, made-to-order saunas tailored specifically to your preferences. Because each sauna is custom-built to order, our returns and refunds policy reflects the unique and bespoke nature of these products.

Why Returns Are Limited for Made-to-Order Saunas
Made-to-order saunas are individually manufactured based on your chosen specifications. As these products are custom-built and not suitable for resale, we are unable to accept returns or issue refunds once production has commenced.

We strongly recommend reviewing all order details—such as dimensions, features, and finishes—carefully before confirming your purchase.

Detailed Policy Overview

Customisation Agreement: By placing an order with SaunaSupply, you confirm your understanding that the product is made specifically for you and cannot be returned once production has begun.

Non-Returnable Items: Cancellations, returns, or refunds are not possible after fabrication has started, unless the product is defective or arrives damaged.

Damaged or Faulty Items:

If your sauna arrives damaged or with a manufacturing defect, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery.

We will evaluate the issue and may offer a repair, replacement, or refund depending on the circumstances.

Order Accuracy: We strongly advise double-checking all specifications and measurements to avoid any discrepancies.

Cancellation Prior to Production: You may cancel your order before manufacturing begins. Please note that cancellations are subject to an administrative fee.

Your Consumer Rights

Our policy complies with UK consumer protection legislation, including:

Consumer Rights Act 2015:
You have the right to expect products that are of satisfactory quality, match their description, and are fit for purpose. If your sauna does not meet these criteria, we will take the necessary steps to resolve the issue.

Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013:
Bespoke, made-to-order items are exempt from the usual 14-day cooling-off period for online purchases.
However, if your product is faulty or does not match the agreed specifications, your rights remain protected.

Q. Can I assemble the sauna myself?

Technically, yes — you can assemble the sauna yourself. However, we strongly recommend having a qualified carpenter or joiner assist you, especially if you don’t have prior experience with woodwork or construction.

The assembly manual is comprehensive and user-friendly for those familiar with building, but without that background, the process can be challenging and time-consuming. Most customers choose professional installation for peace of mind and to ensure the sauna is assembled correctly.

Important: Incorrect assembly or not following the manual may void your warranty. If you’re unsure, we recommend professional installation.

Q. What type of base do I need?

Your sauna base must meet two key requirements:

It must be completely level.

It must support the full weight of the sauna and users.

Most saunas bases must be able to withstand twice the weight og the sauna itself. For example, when laying a base for saunas weighing above 400 kg, plan for an additional 400 kg for occupants — a total of around 1,000 kg+. Suitable base materials include concrete, patio decking, tiles, or asphalt — as long as the surface is flat and stable.

Check out our guide on different sauna bases here and we strongly advise you to hire a professional.

Avoid installing the sauna on a slope or in an area prone to water pooling.

Q. What maintenance is required after assembly?

After assembly, the sauna should be treated both inside and out as soon as possible. This protects the wood and is required to validate your warranty.

Painting the sauna bench is optional but recommended. Use a breathable, oil-based treatment such as Tikkurila Supi Sauna Finish.

If Tikkurila products are unavailable, Osmo Oil is an excellent alternative. Both can be ordered from B&Q.

Q. What are the running costs?

A traditional home sauna usually uses a 3 to 9 kW electric heater and costs around £0.10 to £0.30 per kWh in the UK. This means running costs range from about £0.30 per hour for a 3 kW heater to £0.90 per hour for a 9 kW heater. Preheating typically takes 30 to 45 minutes, which adds to the overall cost depending on how often and how long the sauna is used.

Infrared saunas are highly energy-efficient. On average, running a SaunaSupply sauna costs between £0.08 to £0.40 per hour, depending on the model size, local electricity rates, and how often it's used. For example, a standard 2-person sauna using a 1.5–2.0 kW heater may cost around £2 to £4 per month if used 3–4 times per week. This makes it a very economical option for regular at-home wellness.

Q. What maintenance is required if I buy a pre-assembled sauna?

None. Pre-assembled saunas are fully treated at the factory before shipping.

Q. Can I paint the sauna a different colour?

Yes. You can paint your sauna any colour, as long as you use a breathable wood treatment.

Q. Do I need a three-phase power supply?

No, a three-phase supply is not required.

However, a qualified electrician must connect your heater to your power supply, and an isolator switch is required at minimum.
